Holy cow Amit Shah bulldozes Election Commission norms

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today bulldozed the Election Commission norms for campaigning for the Legislative Assembly elections in five states.

In view of the threat of another wave of COVID 19 pandemic, due to the Omicron virus, the Election Commission has put restrictions on public rallies and door to door campaign. While rallies are banned, door to door campaign is allowed with only five persons. However, Shah was accompanied by several people as he campaigned door to door in Kairana district of Uttar Pradesh today.

The officials of the Election Commission did not take any action against Shah and his party members who were with him during the campaign.

Ironically, the Election Commission issued notice to Samajwadi Party few days ago for violating the campaigning norms.
