Azim Premji assures Soren of development in health and education sector in Jharkhand

Wipro founder Azim Premji told Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren yesterday that Azim Premji Foundation and Wipro would like to work in coordination with the state government in the field of quality education and health.

The two met over a video conference to discuss the development of Jharkhand. Premji told the Chief Minister that Wipro and Azim Premji Foundation would like to set up Azim Premji University in Jharkhand and at the same time establish a state-of-the-art medical college and hospital, apart from an IT Park.

Soren appreciated the work done by the foundation in the state during the COVID 19 pandemic. He added that Jharkhand offers several possibilities and there is a need for economic, social and educational sector.
