Dead lizard, spiders in noodles served to Agra school students

Several students of an Agra school took ill after they consumed noodles, in which a dead lizard and spiders were found.

The students of a convent in Agra had gone on a school picnic to Ferozabad on Tuesday and were served noodles at a local restaurant. After eating the noodles, many students felt uneasy and started vomiting. When the school authorities checked the noodles, they found a dead lizard in it.

Two students complained to the school administration that they found spiders and a lizard in their picnic meal.

The food was thrown away and the students were dropped at their respective homes, after their health improved.

Parents of the affected students have lodged a complaint with the school authorities, alleging the school administration was callous in checking the quality of food and handling the situation after the students fell sick. The school had charged Rs 750 per student.
