Woman forced to remove ‘Mangal-sutra’

A woman was forced to remove her ‘mangal-sutra’ at a private college in Adilabad on October 16, Sunday, before entering the examination hall.

A video of a woman allegedly removing her mangal sutra, who was forced by police and revenue officials posted at a centre for the Group-I recruitment exam, went viral on social media on Wednesday.

​​​​​​​ According to sources, the Adilabad police and revenue officers were appointed at the Group examination centre, conducted by the State Government.
