2 transgender murdered in 2 days in Bihar

The Patna police resorted to a lathi-charge to disperse transgender people protesting against the killing of two transgenders in two days in Bihar.

The protestors came out on the street to prevent the movement of traffic, to draw public attention to the killings. The police alleged that the protestors pelted vehicles and the police with stones.

Sonia Kumari (35) was found murdered on Monday in Chiryatand under the jurisdiction of Kankarbagh police station, while Usha Kinnar (45) was found murdered on Tuesday, in here rented house in Sadikpur area undere Alamganj police station.

Sonia was killed with a sharp weapon, according to the police. The autopsy reports of both the deaths are awaited.
