Maulana Wali Rahmani dies at 78

Former general secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) and renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Wali Rahmani died in Patna today. He was admitted to a private hospital upon testing positive for Covid-19, less than a week ago. Rahmani had taken the COVID 19 vaccine a week before he tested positive to the disease.

His mortal remains will be buried at his native place in Munger on Sunday.

A one-time member of Bihar Legilative Council, the 78-year-old Muslim scholar hailed from Munger district in the state.

Among the many accomplishments of Rahmani was the 'Rahmani 30', a city-based free coaching facility mentored by former Bihar DGP Abhayanand who was also the co-founder of the famous 'Super 30'.
