A coastal highway project linking Gopalpur in Odhisha and Digha in West Bengal will boost Odisha’s economy, according to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The construction of  452-km long highway is to cost Rs 7,500 crore.

Two 18-year-old Dalit teenagers were bound to a tree and beaten with lathis, in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, by four men belonging to an upper-caste community for more than 12 hours, accusing them of stealing hens.
