Protesting farmers are violent maniacs: DAV Boys School Chennai

DAV Boys School of Chennai has termed the protesting farmers as “violent maniacs, who worked under external instigation”.

Students of class X of the school were asked to write a letter to the editor of a local daily newspaper of the city, to condemn the farmers’ protest, which the school described as “terrible, violence acts of miscreants who fail to realise that country comes before personal needs and gains.”

Some Chennai residents, who are not happy with the school’s act have posted images of the question paper on social media. The question in the images posted says, “The diabolical violence that broke out in the national capital on Republic Day filled the hearts of the citizens with condemnation and abhorrence after the farm law protesters went on a rampage destroying public property and attacking police personnel in broad daylight. Write a letter to the Editor of a daily newspaper in your city, condemning such terrible, violent acts of miscreants who fail to realise that country comes before personal needs and gains.

“Destroying public property, disgracing the national flag, and attacking police personnel are few of the various illegal offences committed, that can never be justified for any reason whatsoever.”

The students were asked to write the letter based on these points. Sriranjani Ranganathan, an educator, said in her post on Twitter, “Schools are not for manufacturing consent.”
