21,67,300 COVID patients helped by Congress COVID Sevak since April 2021
The Indian National Congress has helped 21,65,700 COVID patients since April this year, the party has said in its tweets.
The party set-up a team of its members and named them Congress COVID Sevak, to help out anyone in need of COVID related help, be it oxygen, plasma or hospital beds, among other requirements.
According to party sources, when the party leadership realised that the situation due to the COVID 19 second phase was going out of control of the Union Government, it decided to form teams of Congress COVID Sevak in every state. These Sevaks were asked to respond to requests for needs of COVID patients.
The teams rose to the occasion and according to the party the following requests were fulfilled:

The source said that the several members and leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, also came to Congress COVID Sevaks for help and even their requests were fulfilled. “Our volunteers did not bother that the BJP has always been critical of the party and its leaders, saving their lives was important for the Sevaks,” the source said.
