Minors kill youth for telling them to take precautions while firing crackers
Three minors killed a young man in Mumbai because he told them to take precaution while firing crackers.
According to the police the incident occurred in Shivaji Nagar area of Govandi in Eastern Mumbai. The police stated that around 2 pm today, 21-year-old Sunil Naidu and three minors had gathered in an open area to fire crackers. When one of the minor’s placed a fire cracker in a bottle to fire it, Naidu stopped him from doing so, on grounds of safety.
The minor’s brother saw this and intervened to assault Naidu. Yet another minor joined in and the three of them beat of Naidu. One of them took a knife and stabbed Naidu several times, causing him grievous injuries.
Some local people alerted the police, who came on the scene and took Naidu to the Rajawadi Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Two of the minors have been arrested and the police is looking out for the third boy. The case is being investigated under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone VI) Krishna Kant Upadhyay. A case of murder has been file against the three minors.
